This one is for Private Matt Maupin, a local soldier captured 4 yrs ago and listed as missing in action. His remains were finally discovered this past weekend March 29-30, 2008). He would have been 24 this July.
The insurgants put him on video after they captured him and televised it. Shortly thereafter another video was seen of a soldier as he was beheaded. But his family firmly believed it wasnt him. All we know is that his remains have been found, whether or not he was actually beheaded, we dont know (and they complain about how we treat our captives). But his family now has closure.
President Bush called and offered his condolences. Matt's family has been to the White House several times at the request of the President. His family is not mad
that he went and sacraficed his life. They are extremely proud of him. His family and many of their friends even marched in our local annual Baseball Opening Day Parade on Monday, proudly carrying Flags in honor of their son.

I think President John F. Kennedy expressed it rather well when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." God Bless Matt Maupin, and all of our soldiers, Veterans, past, present, future, living and deceased. Long Live Freedon.

Lix dot Kong has more than just Myspace going crazy. He is to hip-hop, what Ne-Yo is to R & B. Lix dot's song lyrics are very powerful, and his voice is distinct among other rappers. Perhaps, you 've seen Lix on the infamous All Access dvd (one of the most popular Hip-Hop Dvd's on the Eastcost). Or, out west you've probably heard about Lix through a group called the DP Next Generation that was put together by Daz Dillinger in 2005. Though Lix dot Kong is on a solo mission these days and branding his own F.R.O.G.G (final revolution of a great generation) movement, he still pays respect to Snoop Dogg and the Dogg Pound, and remains on a mission to become a household name in the entertainment industry. Raised in Bremerton, Washington
( where Quincy Jones grew up) Lix grew up listening to all kinds of music. From John Coltrane to Nirvana. From Ice Cube to Jimi Hendrix. Lix love for music would eventually land him in a local hip-hop group called Human Nature in 1998, with DJ Buttnaked, and Baby Dee. This group did shows around the Seattle area, and would perform in front of crowds of 1,000 or more fans.

Eventually the group went seperate ways, and Lix started his own Record Label called
Ultramendous Records with some local artist. They sold over 2,000 by the end of 2001, which was plenty in the surrounding area. "Where I come from, there isn't even any good quality Hip-Hop studios, so we had to start our own" Lix recalls. From 2001 to 2002 meant tough times for Lix dot Kong. With his mom being the only parent at home at the time, and his dad on the streets. Lix took to the streets with OG's and started peddling street pharmaceuticals to raise capitol for his music aspirations.. He even started his own street movement called FPG (now called FROGG) along side Zodiac, Lyon, Bub, 2scoop, and Pub. "Frogg is an organization for
people who never really gang banged, but still kept it gangster. Any sports player, hustler, baller, blue-collared worker or player can be a frogg. "Froggs adapt to their environment, and multiply" Lix said. And Frogg has adapted. From having an album featured on Snoop Dogg's myspace site to Co-starring on Ugly Betty (Zodiac), Froggs have been heard all over the planet. When asked about his life while selling drugs, Lix explains "My life was confusing at the time, I didn't have
to move work, but I felt like it made me a man". Although Lix never got caught in the drug game, he regrets the horrors he seen while in the street life, and vents his past life experiences out in his music. "My favorite rappers aren't the guys who glorify moving weight, there the ones who teach us how to be street smart" proclaims Lix. Now spending most of his time on the Eastside, Lix dot Kong can remember running side-by-side with Acacia Blocc Crips, EGC's, Santana Blocc Crips and 74 Hoover Crips thinking "Man, If we can all come together and plan
our own government, we'd really be doing something". Now, with Barak Obama as a front-line candidate in the race towards the White House, Lix dot Kizzy feels that his dream could finally manifest. "My goal is to start doing music that helps us organize ourselves into more powerful corporations, and to eventually start our own black currency". This is big talk, but being raised
by his uncle, a former Black Panther, and his dad, a Air Force Veteran, Lix feels that he is well-informed of the American Dream is about for Etheric men and women. After some time Ultramendous Records, wasn't the right name for Lix indie record label, so he ended up changing the name to F Pac Records, after the legendary 2 Pac Shakur. "F Pac, stands for from pac, or frogg pack, we adopted both meanings" Lix said candidly when asked. "Pac left a great legacy, and I will the same soon" says Lix. Lix dot Kong is currently managed by Guillermo of Perpetual Motions. Perpetual Motions is known throughout Europe (Netherlands) for Promoting
shows for Major Artist like Missy Elliot, and Cisco. Perpetual Motions has contributed alot of effort to making sure Lix dot Kong and DJ Suarez new compilation is a huge success. Lix dot's latest venture, Executive Producer of "HipHop Still Raised in the Street" (Eddie Laners III)features some of the biggest Stars in the business. From Snoop Dogg to Akon, JT the Bigga Figga, Messy Marv, and Chamillionaire, Lix and partner DJ Suarez cooked up a masterpiece for
you to enjoy. He is also starting an online digital magazine called FROGG Magazine
